Paul Darragh works under the name BEMODERN, creating bold geometric paintings, sculpture and large-scale public artworks.

His practice explores perception, spatial illusion and the relationship between colour, form and the built environment. Moving between the scale of the canvas and architecture, his work uses precise geometry and saturated colour to create immediate, physical visual experiences.

Based in Mount Maunganui, Aotearoa New Zealand, Darragh has exhibited throughout New Zealand and internationally, with work spanning gallery exhibitions, public sculpture, murals and site-specific commissions.
